What is the Gospel?

The word "Gospel" literally means "good news." It is the message that God loves you, and that Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for your sins and rose from the dead to offer you forgiveness and eternal life.

The Bible tells us that all people have sinned and fall short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). The consequence of sin is separation from God, both now and for eternity. But God, in His great love, sent His Son Jesus to die in our place, taking the punishment we deserved.

Through faith in Jesus Christ, we can be forgiven, reconciled to God, and receive the gift of eternal life. This is the good news that has transformed countless lives throughout history.

Recognize Your Need

Admit that you are a sinner and need God's forgiveness. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

Believe in Jesus

Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead. "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved." (Acts 16:31)

Repent of Sin

Turn away from your sins and turn to God. "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out." (Acts 3:19)

Receive Christ

Invite Jesus into your life as Lord and Savior. "To all who received him, he gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12)
